What's Included: We provide a two year health guarantee which covers any major hereditary/congenital defects and a 10-day guarantee on any contagious disease. It is your responsibility to make sure to keep up to date on vaccinations to protect against contagious diseases. We also provide a pedigree, vaccination records, veterinay signed health certificate, training information, grooming tips, and a crate for shipping. While our puppies have show quality potential, we place our puppies in loving pet homes with an AKC pet registration. If you are looking for a show/bredding prospect with full AKC registration, special consideration will be given on an individual basis.

Shipping Details: We use Northwest Airlines for shipping. They offer service for pets to most major airports in the United States. We can also ship into Canada. Shipping charges are currently around $175 and can usually be paid at the airport when you pick up your puppy. Certain airports require a VIP reservation. The VIP reservation is around $290 and has to be prepaid. If you have an airport in mind, we can check availability and flight details. Northwest has very high standards and strict regulations regarding all aspects in handling our puppies in travel. They require the temperatures to be at least 10 degrees but not more than 85 degrees at departure and arrival times. We are usually able to accommodate your requests for shipping arrangements; but keep in mind, we may have to be flexible due to weather, airline schedules and requirements, and anything that may come up. If we need to reschedule, we will notify you immediately.

Payment: If you decide to reserve a puppy, a down payment of $300 will hold him/her for you. The balance is due anytime prior to making the shipping reservations. We accept money orders, check, or Paypal. If you would like to use Paypal, a fee of 3% applies. We will need your name, address and telephone number as you would like it to appear on the paperwork.

Food: We provide a puppy packet from Eukanuba with a pouch of Eukanuba small breed puppy food. There are coupons in the packet for future purchases of any Eukanuba food.

The right owner is the person who wants a rugged, healthy dog: a bright companion full of terrier spunk. The Welsh have very unique personalities and quirky behaviors that will keep you laughing. With proper training, the Welsh can also be good companions for considerate children; but toddlers do not make good owners of any breed of dog and Welsh are no exception to the rule. Bitches are generally more alert, quicker to learn and have more of the "I can do it myself" approach to life. They are sometimes dominant in their love of people and may be more scrappy towards other dogs. They are definitely more vocal than males, although the Welsh is not a yapper. Males tend to be easy-going, devoted, friendly companions, and are more challenging than aggressive. They are steadier, quieter, and quicker to enjoy the fun in life than the bitch. The Welsh Terrier should not be allowed (or worse, encouraged) to be an aggressive dog. The Welsh has typical terrier quickness. He's quick to make friends, quick to react to your moods, and quick to switch from couch-potato to super watch dog. All this quickness can be to the dog's detriment if he is not taught right from wrong. Beginning at the puppy stage and reinforced daily thereafter, the Welsh (as with all dogs) should be taught basic obedience commands and need to learn that you are the leader in the pack. The Welsh Terrier has basic needs: training, walks on a leash and play for physical exercise, normal veterinary care, a good diet to keep him at a healthy weight, and grooming to keep him handsome. Provide these needs and you'll have a loyal friend for life!
